Members of AFP’s Donor Software Workgroup are developing software modules that automatically extract the required data from their clients' donor databases according to the Gain/Loss criteria and FEP specifications below and populate the 42 fields of giving data for INDIVIDUAL donors and ORGANIZATIONS (non-individual donors) in the FEP Survey Tab Delimited *.txt file format. The *.txt file is transmitted electronically over the Internet or emailed to FEP.
FEP specifications
To download the FEP All-Electronic Specifications, CLICK HERE: Specifications and chose [Save] to save the "All-elect-specs-6-30-07a.doc" file on your computer. These specifications for implementation of all-electronic FEP Surveys were initially emailed to the Donor Software Workgroup on January 26, 2007. That email included the FEP-DataFields-1-26-07.xls (*) file with the tab-delimited field specifications and error diagnostics. These are the specifications that were agreed to at the meeting in Phoenix, January 22, 2007. (*) Now updated, FEP-DataFields-Diag-5-7-07d.xls.

The ADVANCED Gain-Loss Performance Analyzer is a useful supplement to the FEP specifications. To download the FEP Excel-based ADVANCED Gain-Loss Performance Analyzer, CLICK HERE: ADVANCEDanalyzer and chose [Save] to save the "G-L-perf-analyzer-v8.2.xls" file on your computer. This Excel file opens to the "Instructions" worksheet.
The standard FEP Gain/Loss Growth-in-Giving Performance Report found in the ADVANCED Gain-Loss Performance Analyzer are for INDIVIDUAL donors, for ORGANIZATIONS and for TOTAL ALL DONORS. Statistics published in the annual FEP survey reports are for TOTAL ALL DONORS.
